Is Hemp Legal?

HEMP IS LEGAL. Balance does not sell any illegal products. We supply quality products made from naturally healing 100% organically grown hemp in accordance with state and federal laws. What Is CBD?

CBD is a successor to a cannabidiol compound named CBDA, cannabidiol is a cannabinoid. Cannabinoids are naturally occurring compounds found in numerous different plants. Scientific studies suggest that cannabidiol may hold a wide variety of potential benefits. There are several plants other than hemp that contain cannabinoids. CBDA is the second most abundant compound found in hemp in the form of a cannabinoid. Making up around 40 percent of the plants extract. CBDA is the acidic precursor to CBD. As hemp grows it does not produce CBD it produces a cannabinoid known as CBDA. CBDA in itself is considered to be an inactive compound. CBD only becomes available after a process is performed known as decarboxylation. Decarboxylation is the process of heating plant material above a certain temperature to alter the compound CBDA into CBD. CBD then becomes active and available to access the beneficial properties. CBD is one of over 100 cannabinoids detected with more being found frequently. CBD has been found to affect the Endocannabinoid system of all living mammals including humans.

How Do I take CBD?

CBD can be taken in many ways, such as topically (applied and absorbed into the skin) oils or tinctures (taken sublingual under the tongue ) consumed in edibles (treats, food and drinks ) inhaled through smoking or vaping.

Is CBD safe for My pet?

Due to the FDA stance on CBD we cannot make medical claims as to what CBD can do for you or your pets. We do however have numerous testimonials on our Home Page sharing what CBD has done for our customers and furry friends and how it has benefited them in their lives. It’s been said to help with anxiety in our pets. You know when you see your dog get anxious and perhaps starts to bark and your scratching your head in wonder of what’s happening to cause the anxiety? Then suddenly it begins to thunder in the distance. Our furry friends know this is coming way before we do because of their heightened senses. My 16 year old labrador retriever Isabela has always been deathly afraid of thunderstorms & fireworks. Since she’s been on a regular daily dosage of CBD her anxiety is simply gone. Now don’t get me wrong she is still a lap dog, but only because she’s spoiled rotten (as it should be). When she and I lived in St. Augustine Florida a few years ago she injured her hip while running and swimming at the beach. The pain was so intense for her that I had to make the very difficult decision to put her on prescription drugs to help with the pain & inflammation. While I did see improvement I was always concerned with the long term effects the medication would have on her liver. Since she’s been on CBD she’s completely off prescription medications and only taking Balance CBD products daily. I’m happy to report she’s running around like a 2 year old again. There is also plenty of information available online as to what benefits are associated with CBD and our pets. We have shared some of these reported benefits with you on our “Why CBD?” page.

What varieties of CBD do you carry?

Full Spectrum CBD, Broad Spectrum CBD and CBD Isolate. If you’re here, chances are you’re already somewhat of a CBD aficionado. Understanding the difference between the three major types of CBD is a major step on your CBD journey.

What is the difference between Full Spectrum, Broad Spectrum & Isolate CBD

Full spectrum CBD or “whole plant” products contain everything the cannabis plan contains. That means they contain CBD as well as flavonoids, the natural fatty acids found in hemp, terpenes and other cannabinoids such as CBG, CBN and trace amounts of THC. All these naturally-occurring elements have their own important therapeutic value. Full spectrum CBD products are by far the most popular.

Broad spectrum CBD products contain an array of cannabinoids and terpenes but zero THC. Think of Broad Spectrum CBD as Full Spectrum without the THC. To create Broad Spectrum CBD, our products will be put through additional processing to isolate and remove as much trace amounts of THC possible while preserving the other natural cannabinoids and terpenes.

CBD Isolate is typically the CBD product of choice for those who are sensitive to other cannabinoids such as THC. CBD Isolates are just that – CBD isolated from all other cannabinoids. During the CBD isolate extraction process, everything contained in the plant matter is removes, including any traces of THC, terpenes, waxes, oils, chlorophyll and more. What’s left is 99+% pure CBD. Isolate CBD is an excellent choice for individuals that can’t have any traces of THC in their system, whether for medical, personal or legal reasons. We here at Balance take great pride in those that protect & serve us such as our Military, Firefighter, First responders & DOT just to name a few. Our ISOLATE CBD products allow them to receive our quality THC FREE products.

What is the shelf life of your products?

Our products are made with all-natural organic ingredients and have a shelf life of 2 year. Our products are made in small batches to assure you are getting a fresh and quality product every time.

Do you use pesticides?

We do NOT use pesticides in the growing process of our hemp plants. We use beneficial insects and pest deterring companion plants to keep our hemp plants happy, healthy and pest free.

Do you do third party testing?

YES, Our plants are tested by the North Carolina Department of Agriculture to ensure we are within the 0.3% THC. After harvesting our hemp is sent out to be tested by a private third-party laboratory specializing in hemp and cannabis testing. All of our products are made using the 100% organic hemp flower grown in North Carolina. Nearly every health expert spoke to agreed that your CBD products should be tested by a third party to confirm the label's accuracy. This is a real concern in the industry—take the 2017 Journal of the American Medical Association study, for example, which tested 84 CBD products and found that 26% contained lower doses than stated on the bottle. We at Balance take great pride in proving our certifications on each product sold. We believe in full disclosure to help our customers make an informed & educated decision when choosing the right CBD product for them.
